ABOUT - Virtual Wellness Fair

Welcome to your second Pacific University Virtual Benefits & Wellness Fair! Below is important information and dates you need to know.

Oct 20 to Oct 25 – Virtual Fair Registration:  You will have the opportunity to register for a variety of live presentations given by your benefits providers, as well as workshops given by some of the best wellness professionals in their fields. We also have a great selection of pre-recorded wellness classes you can watch at your own convenience. From fitness to finance, we have something for everyone.

Oct 26 to Oct 29 – Virtual Benefits and Wellness Fair: During this week, you can attend all the ongoing live presentations you signed up for! After each live presentation there will be a Q&A session where you can ask questions and interact with the presenter. Don’t worry if you miss as class, each presentation will be recorded and will be available to watch through November 31, 2021.

Oct 25 to Nov 5 – Open Enrollment: During this time, employees can enroll or make changes to their benefits. If you have questions about your benefits, make sure to attend the live presentations where there will be a Q&A session with each benefit provider.

PRIZES! We will be giving away prizes during each of the live presentations so make sure to attend as many presentations as possible for more chances to win!

GRAND PRIZE – $100 Amazon Gift Card. All you have to do to enter is fill out the short survey which will be emailed to you after each live presentation. Good Luck!

Calendar of events

  • Below is the calendar where you can sign-up to attend the live presentations and workshops
  • Once you register, you will receive a link to log into the presentation on the day of event. Make sure to save this to your calendar.   
  • Good news! All sessions will be recorded and will be available until Nov 30th, so you can watch them at any time.
  • All participants will be able to ask questions and interact using the Zoom Q&A or Chat feature. 
  • Prizes will be given away during each session so make sure to attend as many presentations as possible for more chances to win.

Hatha Yoga Stretch & Flow

Feel alive and at peace in this all level yoga class designed to increase vitality, while drawing you closer to your center. A combination of strength building, stretching, meditation, and breath-work, you will have the opportunity to learn and move in a way that is of benefit for your whole being. Leave with simple tools of how to bring balance to a cluttered mind, to kick-start your metabolism, and to reset your nervous system. Appropriate for all levels of experience. Duration: 45 Minutes

Tai Chi Flow

Activate your Qi and align with your breath with this simple yet energetic class inspired by Qigong forms. Body Tapping, gentle yet deep stretches and flowing forms move your energy in the direction of your breath's natural flow for an all over body energizing experience.  Great for all levels of experience. Duration: 30 Minutes

Mathew Walker

The Science of Better Sleep

Neuroscience professor Matthew Walker teaches you the science of sleep and how to optimize it to better your overall health. Duration: 15 Minutes

Dr Daivati Bharadvaj
Naturopathic Physician

Daivati Bharadvaj, ND earned her doctorate degree from the National College of Natural Medicine in 2003 and completed a residency in Naturopathic Family Medicine in 2004, after finishing her bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences/biology from Cornell University. She is the author of Natural Treatments for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, an excellent resource for health care providers and CFS patients alike.

Stephanie Vickers
Naturopathic Physician

Stephanie believes that food is medicine and begins with the foundations of health including nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress management before utilizing herbs, supplements, and medications. She uses science-based medicine to optimize her patient’s health goals. She treats her patients on an individual basis, creating personal treatment and nutrition plans based on medical history, current symptoms, and shared health goals.
